  • Overview

    Support manufacturing Crews by troubleshooting and making repairs to electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.  Will provide preventative maintenance as scheduled. 


    This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time:

    • Perform all assigned work to support manufacturing process.
    • Troubleshoot and make repairs to electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
    •  Understand PLC controllers and operate industrial computers.
    •  Read and understand prints and operating systems instructions.
    •  Service HVAC and chiller systems as well as other facility related equipment
    • Answer calls on off-hours to support production schedules.
    • Provide support to all trades when installing new equipment and/or processes.
    • Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled and assigned.
    • Other maintenance related support tasks as assigned.


    Required Education, Experience & Training

    • Journeymen status is required.  Associates degree in Electrical Mechanical Technology or related state approved apprenticeship preferred.  Other technical degree may be considered.  Six to eight years experience in an industrial maintenance environment.  Must be knowledgeable of OSHA plus state codes and regulations as they relate to job assignments.
    • Be able to cope with the stress of troubleshooting and making repairs during production operation.  Must provide own hand tools and adequate mobile tool storage chest.  Must be able to work in an unsupervised environment and comply with all company policies and safety rules.  Must be able to utilize and understand manufacturer maintenance manuals and prints both domestic and foreign.


    Protective Clothing Required

    Must follow facilities safety policies



    Physical Demands

    Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times. Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, and climb in order to work on equipment. Must be able to use tools to perform repairs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
